Chad Luitwieler: Alright guys, Chad Luitwieler here with with Luitwieler Family Insurance Agency, answering your questions about your insurance. Today’s auto insurance question, “What auto insurance limits, liability limits, should I have on my auto insurance?” And your liability limits, everybody has liability limits on their auto insurance coverage. The amount of coverage you need is based on your individual situation. That will include your assets, if you have rental properties, if you have a significant income. There’s certain things, or you know, you’re a homeowner, you have young drivers, there’s certain things where we’d recommend you have higher liability limits, and we can recommend what those limits are.
And then there’s some people who need less coverage, and those are gonna be people who don’t have the same target on their back. Which includes people who rent, people who don’t have any assets, and maybe just aren’t as concerned about the risk that they have, driving in the state of California. So it depends on what kind of, who you are, will help determine what kind of liability limits you have. That’s what we do here, is we can help you decide what those are, what limits you wanna have to help protect you in the event of an accident. And essentially it’s just helping protect you from getting, the liability limits are gonna protect you from injuries that you cause to somebody and property damage that you cause.
And we wanna help position you in the best way possible, to make sure that if something were to happen, we’re not exhausting your policy limits. We can’t prevent everything, but we can do our best to mitigate as much of that risk as possible. And in some situations we need to talk to some of you clients about umbrella insurance. So let us help you decide what those limits are, and we’re happy to help make those types of suggestions based on your individual needs. Thank you again, have a great day.
